Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) located in Memphis, seeks a transformative and strategic executive to serve as the system's next Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The CHRO serves as a key advisor and integral member of the system's senior leadership team (SLT).

The system seeks a dynamic leader, upon the retirement of the CHRO who has diligently served the organization for 20 years. This is an exciting time for a new CHRO to continue the spirit of human resources innovation, which has allowed MLH to receive numerous workplace awards at both local and national levels; not the least of which is being a Fortune "100 Best Places to Work." Building on this sturdy foundation, the CHRO will be a strong strategic business and tactical partner to the SLT, an executive leader for the human resources team and a good ambassador for the organization in creating the brand as the employer of choice. The CHRO will serve as a mentor/advisor and confidential sounding board to executives. The new CHRO should have vision, compassion, wisdom and energy to continuously ensure that aligning HR with business objectives is the key to success and growth. The CHRO will lead a team of professionals that engages employees, optimizes human resources processes and fosters a healthy work environment across the health system.
The successful candidate will be an innovative and strategic leader with demonstrated success in leading teams. They will have experience within a large, complex, multi-site employer, an awareness of the unique aspects of operating a clinical enterprise/academic health system in the larger university environment and a deep passion for improving the overall employee and patient experience. Candidates will have a formal education at the Master's or Doctoral level in human resources, business management or related field, with a specialty in the management of human resources or an equal combination of education and experience is required Candidates should have at least ten years of progressive executive leadership experience in human resources.
