Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) is the largest private medical research institute in Wisconsin. MCRI is the research division of Marshfield Clinic Health System, an integrated multispecialty health care system with over 1,200 practitioners and 50+ regional centers. MCRI consists of research centers in clinical research, agricultural health and safety, epidemiology, human genetics, biomedical informatics and integrated laboratory services. It also provides a range of support services for physician and scientist investigators, including biostatistics, protocol and grant preparation, research publication and core laboratory support.
The Manager – Research Studies directs a research studies unit within a division or research center in the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI). This role promotes and creates opportunities for research within the institute and is a critical member of the research management team responsible for supervising staff and addressing research issues within a designated division or research center. The Manager – Research Studies participates in the development and implementation of high priority departmental projects such as strategic planning, hiring and mentoring of staff, performance improvement, quality assurance, monitoring, auditing, budget preparation and financial analysis of costs, and compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in health science, business, or related field
Five year of experience in medical or research, with at least two years of experience in research
Two years of management experience
Working knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office suite
Group presentation skills
Clinical Research Coordinator Certification through Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP); or Certified Clinical Research Professional Certification through Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) must be obtain within 6 months of qualification
Prefer experience / experience:
Completion of courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and pharmacology
Five years of experience in research management experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire

Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation, the research arm of Marshfield Clinic and largest private medical research institute in Wisconsin, has been renamed Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI).
