WittKieffer has partnered with Wellstar Health System in the recruitment of the inaugural Senior Vice President, HR Consulting. As Wellstar continues to grow and evolve in the greater Atlanta area, as well as in the region, the system is embarking on a Human Resources (HR) transformation. The transformation will reshape the way the organization is served by HR and how HR is accessed. The keys to the transformation are; a thoughtful approach to employee self-service, enhanced responsiveness and strategic partnership with operational leaders. The Senior Vice President, HR Consulting (SVP) has been created in support of the transformation efforts. In sum, the SVP is expected to help the business realize the impact of a truly aligned HR business partner model and through this to accelerate business objectives, continuity, performance excellence and growth.
David A. Jones joined as EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer with Wellstar Health System in January of 2019 and has been leading the HR transformation efforts. One of the opportunities identified is the creation of a new Senior Vice President role on the HR team. A role that will ensure the transformation elements come to fruition. Working alongside Mr. Jones and the HR leadership team, the SVP will be responsible for daily operational leadership of the facility based HR leaders. Additionally, the SVP will be the liaison between the Centers of Expertise (CoEs) and the HR business partners to ensure alignment and consistency.
The SVP will be joining a talented team, poised for taking HR service and consultation to the next level. This will be the ideal opportunity for a HR leader who is balanced, focused on outcomes and keenly aware of the need to have excellent HR practices for the business to thrive. The successful candidate will have considerable experience leading HR operations in complex organizations and familiarity with HR Business Partner models.
