JOB SUMMARY The Vice President of Patient Care in Round Rock will report to the Baylor Scott and White Health Chief Nursing Officer. This position will have the responsibility of service lines or departments to support hospital outcomes. The Vice President provides the direction and support required to deliver high patient outcomes and satisfaction through staff engagement. The position works with nursing, physician and other health care professionals to develop and guide clinical services to excellence. The role must be able to develop, implement and execute labor and financial management plans and operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE The Vice President of Patient Care in Round Rock facilitates the development of strategies to promote recruitment, retention and recognition and ensures the implementation of clinical programs and services. The Vice President manages the operating and capital budgets, implements performance improvement programs and serves on hospital, nursing and community committees.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS The ideal candidate must have strong basic computer skills to include payroll processing, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets. The ideal candidate must be experienced in Nursing Management and be able to maintain the professional and technical licensures and certifications required of the position. A Masters degree or related management field is preferred.
