The Manager, Talent Development is a member of the Talent Management and Development team, a dynamic group focused on enhancing Tenet Healthcareï¿½s progressive human capital strategy in order to become the leading healthcare employer in the nation. The Talent Development group that functions within this team is focused on progressive organizational development and learning solutions to meet data-driven talent needs. The team is responsible for designing, developing and executing the organizationï¿½s talent development strategy. The Manager, Talent Development role is a visible and high influence position that requires extensive collaboration with peers, business leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization in order to drive results-oriented talent solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Manager, Talent Development will be responsible for work in the following areas under direction of the Director, Talent Development:
ï¿½Design, develop and deploy learning solutions 115,000+ employees (including professional development, technical/functional development, high-potential talent development, etc.)
ï¿½Design, develop and deploy leadership development programs for 9,000+ leaders (including frontline, mid-level, and executive leaders) who require customized learning and development solutions. Support deployment of leadership programs, including facilitation and train the trainer.
ï¿½Source, evaluate and manage all related vendor relationships necessary to execute key projects.
ï¿½Partner with multiple stakeholders including HR partners, executive leadership, functional leaders, hospital operators and other colleagues to inform user-centered solutions that are socialized with multiple key players.
ï¿½Combine instructional design principles, advanced adult-learning theory, and accelerated learning concepts to design and develop training and associated materials.
ï¿½Assist in the development of communication strategies to communicate and market training programs.
ï¿½Design engaging learning content and ensures brand continuity across all media types. (leveraging additional team resources when necessary)
ï¿½Work collaboratively with key leadership to identify and develop key organizational capabilities. Influence and engage leaders and other key stakeholders to actively participate in program development and facilitation.
ï¿½Utilize organization development theory and interventions to solve workplace issues and improve team performance (conducting team building sessions, group facilitation skills, organizational design, culture change, instructional design, etc.).
ï¿½Create and manage project plans, communication plans, and sustainability plans to support initiatives.
ï¿½Identify and implement support systems to ensure that knowledge and skills are truly embedded and employed as a result of development activity.
ï¿½Deploy customized 1:1 leader coaching using a variety of validated tools (e.g., Hogan leadership series, PDI transitions in leadership, PDI 360).
ï¿½Implement program measurement and evaluation strategies of talent development initiatives.
ï¿½5-7 years experience in OD, Talent Management, and/or Learning and Development
ï¿½Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required. Graduate degree in industrial-organizational psychology, organization development, HR, or MBA preferred
ï¿½Learning and Development experience in the healthcare industry preferred; experience as a clinician (RN or RN leader) preferred
ï¿½Knowledge of Learning and Development, Talent Management, OD and/or OE-related practices, including skills in needs analysis/performance consulting, instructional design, facilitation, program measurement
ï¿½Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ï¿½Experience working with change management methodologies and tools
ï¿½Proven project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects at once
ï¿½Ability to think strategically and develop tactical action plans to achieve business and people goals
ï¿½Strong consultative and diagnostic skills
ï¿½Experience, presence, and flexibility to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization from front line leaders to senior executives
ï¿½Must be a self-starter who displays excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively organize using a collaborative approach
