The Iowa Clinic, a premier multispecialty medical group located in Des Moines, Iowa, has exclusively retained Cejka Search to assist in the recruitment of an accomplished health care executive to serve as Executive Director.

Founded in 1994, The Iowa Clinic is a progressive independent medical group consisting of more than 250 physicians and healthcare providers, with over 40 specialties serving patients at 12 locations throughout the greater Des Moines region. The Iowa Clinic is the largest physician-governed, physician run, and patient focused multispecialty group in Central Iowa and is recognized for providing the highest quality, personalized care to its patients. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Executive Director will oversee the day to day operations, program planning and development, financial performance, and strategic planning for the inpatient and outpatient surgical services divisions, medical specialty, obstetrics and gynecology, gynecology/oncology and pulmonary and sleep services. The Executive Director ensures that all operations of the departments and clinics are aligned with the mission and values of the organization; enhances interdepartmental relationships through communication and customer service skills; and promotes a collaborative working environment among physicians, staff, and clinic leaders.

The Executive Director for The Iowa Clinic will be a collaborative partner with a track record of developing and implementing a strategic plan to advance organizational  growth, operations, and financial targets that support a culture of high-quality patient care and service. Candidates will have at least seven years of progressive leadership and management experience in clinical operations and development. Experience leading in surgical services is highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required; MBA/MHA is preferred.
