The Director is responsible for planning, organizing directing and managing resources for a designated School. These responsibilities include: budget responsibility; efficient /effective resource utilization; recruitment an effective/efficient management of assigned faculty and staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and BHS hospital departments; compliance with accreditation essentials and guidelines. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Credentials to meet qualifications as directed by accrediting and licensing organizations. Masters Degree in discipline, education, or related field. Prefer PhD, EdD or earned doctorate in related field.
5 years teaching experience in disciplines with responsibilities in education, management, curriculum design, evaluation, and faculty development. Competence in clinical practice area. Prefer previous management experience in healthcare setting or leadership in an academic environment.
Possession of current Texas State Registration. Credentialed by State and National Agencies.
