University of California, Irvine Health (UCI Health) invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the role of Executive Director of Ambulatory Care.
Located in one of the country's most desired destinations, UCI Health is the region's only health system powered by the University of California and dedicated to both discovery and treatment. Orange County is the sixth-largest county in the United States, with 3.2 million residents. UCI Health's catchment area is over 4 million people, for which they are the only academic medical center.
The Executive Director of Ambulatory Care will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for oversight and management of over 70 ambulatory care clinics across the Health System. The incoming Executive Director will serve as an operational leader and partner in advancing key strategic areas, including oncology, orthopedics, neuroscience, and cardiovascular care. The Executive Director will also serve as a strategic partner in creating the future of ambulatory care at UCI Health, leading innovative models of patient-centered care and planning for future ambulatory expansion. This includes building out Irvine-Newport Medical Campus with the state-of-the-art Ambulatory Care Center.
Candidates should possess senior leadership experience in ambulatory care, a strong track record of achievement, and a history of successfully working in a complex, highly matrixed, healthcare organization. A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field is required; Master's degree, M.D., or clinical credentials preferred.
