JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Head of Analytics, this position will lead the Data Governance team responsible for establishing standards, improving data quality and developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The goal of Baylor Scott & White Healths newly formed Analytics Team is to harness the power of data and analytics to inform/empower both incremental and transformational improvement in performance across the enterprise. We are establishing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, seeking to identify and deploy cutting edge technologies to harness an ever-broadening data set to solve the most pressing problems in healthcare.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Create and manage a centralized data catalog and dictionary - Evaluate data quality and establish a data quality score for key metrics - Establish a data certification program to distinguish fields that meet the high-quality threshold - Establish an analytics product certification program to distinguish reports and dashboards that meet established data quality and analytics standards - Establish a data stewardship and data custodian programs and councils - Participate and lead Master Data Management system and Reference Data Management system governance to increase standardization and usability of data - Leverage data governance tools and processes to improve data quality and solve complex data problems - Establishing a knowledge repository for our analysts, stewards and custodians to share best practice and build capabilities
