Nurse Manager, Care Suites

Fairview Health Services is searching for enthusiastic Nurse Manager looking for a rewarding career in our busy Care Suites located at our Edina, Minnesota campus.

Care Suites which includes, Pre-Post Cath Lab and Radiology/ Imaging and other cardiovascular patients. Manager will work with multi- service lines, providers and teams to support patient care needs and nursing practice. Majority of patients are interventional and diagnostic patients included under the radiology/ cardiovascular care umbrella. Pre and Post procedure care responsibilities encompass a wide range of cardiology and radiology diagnostic and interventional procedures including, but not limited to heart caths, PTCR, arterial angiograms, electrophysiology studies, and a wide variety of radiologic diagnostic and interventional procedures. Department is also accountable for patient flow for IP procedures out of ICU include cardioversions, TEE, and radiology sedation needs. Nursing responsibilities also include monitoring patients receiving sedation in a variety of settings. Primary population is adults. Manager intersects with multi- departments and leaders for improved patient and staff flow; including IP departments. This is a full-time position, benefit eligible.

The Nurse Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of assigned area(s) and Fairview Health Services

• Develops and/or provides input into budget for assigned area(s) according to established procedures.
• Ensures that a process for collecting, monitoring and reporting quality data exists for assigned area.
• Investigates and responds appropriately to all complaints and takes effective, corrective action when necessary.
• Utilizes the nursing process in problem solving,
• Serves as a role model for staff.
• Manages change using a planned, orderly approach.
• Demonstrates ability to implement problem-solving mechanisms in both routine and emergency situations.
• Delegates appropriate tasks to staff.
• Ensures implementation and development of standards of practice in patient care that reflect valid research findings.
• Evaluates, develops and revises clinical systems to assure regulatory compliance

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelors is not in nursing then must have a Master's degree in nursing.
• Four Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.
• BLS certification
• Minnesota RN license

Preferred Requirements:

• Preferred Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
• Other forms of supervisory or management experience
