Director Emergency Services

Summary

The Director for Emergency Services Responsible for the operations of assigned department. Director for Emergency Services Demonstrates productive and efficient management skills. Excel in identifying and controlling critical cost elements; thereby promoting quality awareness and achieving the highest standard of excellence. Assists in formulating departmental budgets and adhering to established standards. Director for Emergency Services Ensures performance improvement initiatives are implemented. Monitors staff performance. Director for Emergency Services Collaborates with staff, physicians and the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and accurate implementation in accordance with patient care standards.

Education

Required: Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards '''of Nursing (NCSBN)
Preferred: Bachelor�s degree, in Nursing or related field or Master�s degree in related field

Experience

Required: Two (2) years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full time charge nurse/related position,Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience

Certifications

• Current Florida Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
• Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (American Heart Association)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention within 90 days of hire
