Abrazo Central Campus (located at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix), a 221-bed acute care facility and teaching hospital, has been providing quality care to patients in the Phoenix community for more than 50 years. Abrazo Central Campus has received many notable awards and accolades from national organizations including Gold Plus and Target Stroke; Honor Roll Awards from the American Heart and American Stroke Association; Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital by Truven Health Analytics; Chest Pain Accreditation with PCI from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care; and the Donor Network Award for �Outstanding Operating Room,� among others. Abrazo Central Campus is recognized for comprehensive cardiovascular care, neuroscience services including NICO BrainPath technology, orthopedics, women�s health, radiology, and 24-hour emergency care, with more than 800 affiliated physicians on staff offering a wide range of medical specialties.
We are currently seeking a talented Director Clinical Quality Improvement to join our team at Abrazo Central! The Director, Clinical Quality Improvement is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing all aspects of the quality improvement and patient safety programs within the facility. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, The Director, Clinical Quality Improvement will work collaboratively with hospital senior leadership and market/regional and home office leaders to align resources to meet priorities and goals. The Director will be responsible for the development of an integrated approach to quality and patient safety across the organization including all facets of Quality Management, Risk Management, Medical Staff Quality, Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention, and Patient Safety. The Director will serve as an expert resource within the facility related to clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory and quality improvement issues, and activities related to accreditation. Acts as Department administrator. Establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standards and objectives. Directs and supervises staff as well as workflow. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability. Responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of the Department exerting a leadership role which supports the organization�s mission and values, goals and objectives, while focusing on the patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care into the hospital�s primary function. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.
Qualifications: Required: Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in patient care related field
Experience Required: Minimum 10 years experience in QA/PI
Certifications Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
CPHQ or eligible to take exam within two years of employment.
Special Skills: Experience with The Joint Commission standards
