The Manager, Performance Excellence will support the Director in driving revenue cycle performance improvement efforts. This role will collaborate with Performance Excellence leadership to drive enterprise performance improvement opportunities, designing and implementing strategic initiatives intended to deliver meaningful, time-bound impact.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Conifer Group / Market Client / Operations leaders and teams to identify improvement initiatives and to implement identified initiatives with responsibility to achieve objectives/ KPIs that will meaningfully improve client, client development, and enterprise performance, coordinating across all levels and ensuring long-term adoption of the improvement initiatives. Manager, Performance Excellence will coordinate with various teams and SMEâ��s to execute strategic initiatives addressing identified performance gaps / deficiencies, day-to-day execution of key initiatives and supporting ad hoc projects to support performance improvement and other initiatives (e.g., process improvements / reengineering, process standardization, providing on-going post implementation support, and supporting user adoption). This role supports Director to prepare reports / presentations / updates and other communication material targeted to provide regular updates to internal and external client leaders and partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Gather, research and analyze data (internal and external data, market-level insights, dashboards, reports etc.) to drive diagnostic rigor, and support identify viable opportunities for improvements in business processes / operations
Collaborate with Performance Excellence leadership and other stakeholders to define and measure improvement targets / KPIs throughout the improvement initiative lifecycle
Collaborate with Performance Excellence / Operations stakeholders to manage, execute, and control improvement initiatives to ensure execution success
Perform data analysis and translate analytics insights into concrete requirements and improvement initiatives across business processes, tools, and technology
Lead operations / business process improvement initiatives, artifacts for the frontline staff and support transition of improved capabilities to relevant stakeholders
Drive cohesive and integrated implementation / enablement of new capabilities that deliver strategic improvements. Maintain and develop tools with the leadership to define clear metrics of Performance Excellence teams success can be measured against
Execute operations / business process improvement implementation initiatives, develop process documents and other artifacts for the frontline staff and perform trend analysis to identify corrective measures and impact assessment of implemented initiatives (within specific RCM processes and enterprise functions)
Liaise between Performance Excellence, Operations, Client Service teams and business owners to ensure clear communications, understanding of improvement initiatives and ultimately the initiative success
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Strong business process mapping / re-design experience to improve business process/ operations efficiency and effectiveness in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or other Operational processes. Ability to align cross-functional teams to ensure successful adoption.
4+ years of experience within an operations improvement / transformation role or 3+ years top tier management consulting with an ops focus
Experience with projects that involve multiple stakeholders, partnering across teams and functions to ensure on-time delivery of the initiatives.
Fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; adept at analyzing data and developing executive-facing presentations. Aptitude and willingness to â��get oneâ��s hands dirtyâ�� and deep dive into details, any experience with tableau and / or Alteryx or similar tools is preferred
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles for a wide range of audiences (from frontline staff to clients and senior executives)
Comfortable handling multiple and pivoting priorities that may require ability to integrate and assimilate complex information to deliver high-impact solutions
Healthcare experience, and more specifically healthcare payments and / or revenue cycle knowledge, would be an important plus, but is not required
Responsible for tackling issues that could potentially result in several millions in lost revenue or decelerated cash for a major health system
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
4-year college degree in business administration, finance, health administration, or other quantitative field with experience in creating and optimizing processes.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing end-to-end operational/business process improvement initiatives. This experience can be demonstrated based on:
Experience leading 4+ performance improvement initiatives (revenue cycle preferred) across three or more clients, and/or
3+ yearsâ�� experience in operations / business process improvement in sales, operations or other business functions with a professional services firm
Problem-solving ability, especially in gathering data to drive decision making and to support developing cases for improvement initiatives based on the analysis and trends
Process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Below are additional skillsets and qualifications that are applicable to this role and may be an asset to the team, however are not required
Experience applying lean and/or six sigma principles in operations, process, and performance improvement initiatives would be a big plus but not mandatory
