Assistant Nurse Manager demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise, leadership, and creative approach to management of complex care. Apply skills necessary to identify, coordinate, and identify discipline-specific education. As well as training in leadership, professional staff development and emerging needs, to all levels of staff. Serve as a nurse supervisor and provide oversight for the administration of leave, counseling and disciplinary action in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. The Assistant Nurse Manager maintains excellent interpersonal relationships with staff, interdisciplinary colleagues, clients and their families, significant others, and representatives from community organizations. The Assistant Nurse Manger also possesses the knowledge and skills to communicate and interact appropriately and courteously with all internal and external customers; to maintain confidentiality of electronic, written, and/or verbal patient/employee information; demonstrate working practices to include adherence to Infection Control standards, Patient Safety standards, and the safe use and operation of equipment; and demonstrate ability to lead and direct diverse and dynamic groups of staff in the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
