Job Summary

Job Duties

• Oversees daily operations of the Volunteer Services Department at assigned campus.
• Develops, implements and manages volunteer programs and activities.
• Serves as the subject matter expert on volunteer programs with staff and program participants.
• Creates, implements and oversees a well-coordinated, synchronized recruitment, onboarding, orientation and training process for volunteers that ensures compliance with all regulations and Geisinger policies.
• Develops recruitment strategies based on need, schedules and attends recruitment events.
• Collaborates with Hospital departments to supervise, train, educate and evaluate volunteers, ensuring a high level of performance.
• Develops promotional materials for use in presentations to internal and external groups.
• Develops a network of internal and external partnerships including hospital department staff, community organizations, schools, universities, etc.
• to support program sustainability and growth.
• Assists with development of new initiatives and opportunities.
• Performs and maintains accurate data collection.
• Prepares and provides department, system and regulatory reports on department metrics and program statistics on a regular basis.
• Organizes and implements departmental recognition events and activities.
• Identifies program risks and recommends effective solutions.
• Other projects as assigned.
