Franciscan Health is seeking aÂ Board-Certified Family Medicine physician to lead our single program faculty leadership team for the Family Medicine Residency Program and provide oversight for residents. This position will require full scope family medicine and treating patients of all ages.
WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidate must have three years of experience in teaching medical students, residents, or fellows. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, experience in scholarship (discovery, innovation, or education), strong organizational management proficiency and trainee oversight competencies, knowledge of the clinical learning environment and micro-teaching skills, and familiarity with curriculum development and implementation. Will be a strong advocate between the residency program and the physician network.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Lead a highly successful 9-9-9 program in training and recruiting future family physicians
ACGME accredited with AOA recognition
Schedule: Monday â“ Friday, variable with limited call responsibilities
Start of the art facility with recent remodel of Family Medicine Center
Strong obstetrics program; interdisciplinary team approach with access to pharmacy, behavioral health, and social work on-site;
Physician will provide oversight in the outpatient setting (inpatient and obstetrics optional)
70% program administrative oversight, including resident coaching and support activities, scholarship, curriculum development, support of the clinical learning environment and clinic faculty schedule, and faculty development
30% clinical outpatient work with the option of inpatient work
Teaching residents on relevant disease states, ensuring knowledge of pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, cure, risk mitigation and prevention
Evaluation and feedback of the residents
Provide leadership and oversight to 10 faculty
Support an environment of scholarly activity through the support guidance of resident participation in innovation, investigation, discovery, process improvement and related activities
Faculty research strongly supported
Curriculum and policy review and development
