Kingman, AZ – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is seeking an engaging, quality driven and data savvy physician leader to serve as its next Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Located in the picturesque high desert of Northwest Arizona, KRMC is an independent multi-campus health system and the largest healthcare provider in the region. The organization has a robust culture, cooperative relationships with physician leaders and is financially healthy, with a strong balance sheet and little debt. Given its independence, the organization is nimble and able to execute quickly on its vision. KRMC has strong support from the local community and is strategically positioning the organization for future success under the leadership of a recently hired Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
KRMC is in search of a physician leader who can easily connect and integrate with the current medical staff, most of whom are employed by the organization. The new CMO will have had substantial experience in quality, patient safety, and process improvement in order to build a culture of high reliability. KRMC's next CMO will focus on removing barriers to increase productivity and leverage an analytical approach to solving issues. She/he will be a decisive leader who holds other clinical leaders appropriately accountable for outcomes. They will be able to identify cultural issues before they become problems.
KRMC's next CMO will help implement the organization's strategic plan as set by the CEO to whom the CMO reports. The CMO will glean insights from data and help optimize KRMC's clinical database as well as advocate for better use of the information technology system. The new CMO must have a can-do team oriented approach partnering with both physicians and administrators on key initiatives to drive change. They are responsible for helping recruit medical staff members and for achieving the organization's mission and ensuring continued appropriate access to high-quality care in Northwest Arizona. The new CMO will partner with committed providers who work hand-in-hand with administration to make a difference in the lives of the region's population. KRMC is anticipating a future influx of patients from the surrounding communities, which will require appropriate patient access and services to accommodate a larger footprint.
The successful CMO will be able to get people on board with organizational matters without being directive. They will be a mentor to their team while having a collected and approachable leadership style. She/he will value input from others and be passionate about building a quality and safety focused clinical culture. The CMO will be transparent and define outcomes in terms of data analytics or data management. This executive will possess a flexible leadership approach that can adjust to the evolving healthcare landscape and value medical staff collaborations. The new CMO must genuinely embrace the community-focused mission of KRMC, be an engaged and visible leader across the organization as well as in the community of Kingman.
