General Summary: Responsible for the oversight of pharmacy services throughout the organization. Assures compliance with CMS, DEA, Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory requirements. Designated "Pharmacist in Charge" at New London Hospital. Works closely with other clinical leaders throughout the organization on quality and safety initiatives, operational efficiencies and clinical program development. Promotes desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe cost effective medication therapies. Maintains a collaborative relationship with the D-HH pharmacy enterprise in order to assure consistent and effective policies and practices throughout the D-HH health care system .
Education and Experience: Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy. Current unrestricted NH licensure (or eligible). PharmD and/or advanced degree (MS,MBA) preferred. Three years management/supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities and make critical decisions. Effective oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated interpersonal skills.
