Boston, Massachusetts – Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) invites applications and nominations for its inaugural position of Chief Inclusion Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for an executive capable of leading broad and sustained organizational change in a large, complex, and highly-respected academic institution.
MCPHS is a private, not-for-profit, healthcare-focused university with three campuses – Boston and Worcester, MA and Manchester, NH – and online. The University offers a full spectrum of healthcare programs including approximately 100 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs offered across 14 academic schools. In its 2018 "Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings" edition, MCPHS is ranked as the #1 university for earning power.
Reporting dually to the MCPHS President and Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost, the Chief Inclusion Officer will serve as a convener, champion, strategic partner, advisor, thought leader, educator, and organizational resource to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization. The Chief Inclusion Officer leads the development and implementation of proactive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in support of the University’s strategic plan to create a learning and working environment where everyone has an opportunity to succeed.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a relevant field of study, along with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in a complex organization, including three years in a leadership role. Along with demonstrated experience, the Chief Inclusion Officer will bring organizational savvy, exceptional change management skills, and a proven track record of demonstrated sustained results and impactful change outcomes, along with an understanding of national best practices and theory regarding organizational diversity and inclusion, human development, training, and change management.
