University of Miami Health System (UHealth) seeks a dynamic, strategic executive to serve as its inaugural Chief Data Officer (CDO). The CDO role is an exceptional opportunity to work in an innovative and progressive health system and champion the effective use of UHealth data assets while creating data-enabled strategies, business and clinical outcomes through analytics.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the CDO will be responsible for developing the analytics strategy and data technology platform. The CDO will provide the leadership to enable a data-driven culture while also developing the enterprise's capacity to gain insights utilizing advanced analytics.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and lead data governance initiatives to ensure effective standards, policies and processes and participate in governance forums where the CDO's input benefits the analytics strategy. The CDO will oversee the teams that directly manage the analytics infrastructure as well as the analysis and reporting of data across a variety of domains. This leader will develop collaborative relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, organize the structure and build the team to create a robust analytics department that provides strategic insight and supports data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a track record of success in building and leading a highly effective analytics function within a complex organization, preferably an academic health system. A driven, solution oriented professional with the ability to adapt and lead change effectively is essential. A master's degree is required.
