In this full-time, fully remote position, the Director of Business Development position is responsible for assisting the Business Development Team in the development of a strong pipeline of new customers through direct or indirect prospecting.
Work with the VPBD(s) and VP, Strategy and Marketing to identify and pursue Emergency & Hospitalist Medicine sales prospects to support Keystone Healthcare Partner’s organic growth strategy.
Responsible for market scanning and prospecting through existing data bases and web searches. In collaboration with the VPBD(s) and VP, Strategy and Marketing, develop targeted prospect lists and align outbound sales initiatives. Support the team in completing and responding to RFPs.
Manage Salesforce activities to reflect current Pipeline status and activities. Proactively gather key hospital insights, including but not limited to: key decisions makers, current group and/or staffing structure, key dynamics to influence the sales process, RFP/fiscal year.
Regularly engage and participate in Business Development Team Meetings.
Consistently achieve activity targets, as co-developed with the VPBD(s) to drive new sales conversations. Secure in-person meetings between key hospital decision makers and the VPBD(s) on a routine basis on pace with goal, as determined by the VPBD(s). Activities to include, but not limited to:
Networking with Operations Team and existing clients
Networking with Clinical Team
In collaboration with the VPBD(s) and VP, Strategy and Marketing, set current and long-term goals for outbound sales strategies. Manage an annual Business Plan to effectively manage frequency of outreach to target prospects.
Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
Work with the VP, Strategy and Marketing to execute account-based marketing strategies.
Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of the department’s objectives.
Track competitors’ activities and continually garner competitive intelligence in key areas of focus.
Analyze prospect behavior and provide recommendations to adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly.
Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
Support development and distribution of sales enablement tools, inclusive but not limited to direct mailers, proposals, presentations, etc.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team and Agency to generate regular content in support of SEO strategy. Including but not limited to eBooks, whitepapers, case studies, press releases and blogs.
Manage and monitor Keystone’s social media presence.
5+ years of experience in Healthcare Sales
Experience using Salesforce
Proficient with InDesign and Photoshop
Must possess excellent communication and relationship skills
Strong analytical abilities,good judgment and strong operational focus
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experienced in securing meetings with hospital C-Suite
Must have the ability to think strategically and continually improve approach
