On behalf of Mary Crowley Cancer Research (MCCR), WittKieffer invites nominations and applications for the next Chief Executive Officer. Located at its Dallas, Texas headquarters, this is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial leader to join a dynamic and high-performing leadership team shaping the future of cancer care.
Established in 1997, MCCR is a non-profit 501(c)(3) cancer research center that offers novel cancer therapeutics and cutting-edge phase I and II clinical trial therapies within the United States and abroad. MCCR operates two active locations its primary clinic, Patient Research Center at Medical City located in Dallas, Texas, and an affiliate research site located in Abilene, Texas. MCCR's convenient location within the Medical City hospital system complex allows MCCR to provide support for patients that extends beyond standard trial requirements. MCCR's research program is personalized for each patient through genomic analysis; the investigational therapy within available clinical trials is uniquely aligned to target the cancer patient's molecular blueprint. MCCR has conducted over 450 clinical trials in compliance with the FDA and performed early testing on nine of 40 FDA-approved targeted therapies now globally available to all cancer patients.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide overall strategic and operational leadership and direction for MCCR. The CEO will develop a compelling vision for the future of MCCR and will partner with the executive leadership team to articulate and implement a strategic plan that will result in MCCR's growth in all aspects of clinical research and philanthropic activity. The next CEO will serve as the spokesperson of MCCR within the community and expand and develop business and philanthropic partnerships, allowing MCCR to realize the aspirational goal of expanding clinical trial offerings by increasing charitable gifts.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an innovative and collaborative leader to be part of a dynamic and high-performing leadership team. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in a complex organization. Along with demonstrated expertise, the CEO will bring organizational savvy, exceptional change management skills and a proven track record of sustained results and impactful change outcomes. In addition, the incoming CEO will have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and leadership experience in cancer services. MCCR seeks individuals with strong emotional and social intelligence and a demonstrated ability to connect with others in a meaningful way, internally and externally, at all levels of the organization.
