The Telehealth Program's Assistant Nurse Manager is directly responsible to the Nurse Manager Facility Telehealth Coordinator. This nurse is responsible for providing leadership in the delivery of virtual nursing care and nursing personnel management within all the telehealth modalities. The Assistant Nurse Manager functions as role model, educator, practitioner and manager and provides leadership to an interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include assisting the Nurse Manager with the following: 1. Collaborates with Telehealth leadership to develop strategies and initiatives for delivery of nursing care. 2. Accepts direct oversight and leadership from Nurse Manager Facility Telehealth Coordinator for unit based tasks and duties as assigned. 3. Assists with direct patient care duties within the Telehealth Program when necessary. 4. Documents application of the nursing process in a responsible accountable manner. 5. Assists with orientation, competency evaluation and other educational assignments as directed. 6. Assists with scheduling and staffing coverage for inpatient and outpatient areas. 7. Effectively uses resources to maintain or enhance nursing patient care productivity. 8. Participates in Peer Review process. 9. Serves a lead or team member for unit and service-level Continuous Improvement projects. 10. Actively participates in assigned committees.
