The Surgical Services Materials Manager (SSMM) is accountable for leading, implementing, measuring and directing supply chain activities within the Operating Room, Periop, PACU, GI, Sedation Services and Central Sterile Processing. The SSMM is primarily responsible for supporting Surgical Services operations through inventory management and fostering a collaborative environment between supply chain and the clinical surgical services team members. The SSMM assists other stakeholders in promoting clinical integration within supply chain. In addition, this position works closely with the facility supply chain coordinator and the Director, Materials Management on data integrity, accuracy and efficiency of the preference card process, supporting the supply chain clinical resources for margin improvements, and patient billing review, process integrity initiatives and inventory management.Â
Â·Bachelor degree in a business curriculum, preferred. Â·Operating Room or Surgical Services experience preferred or 5 years related experience in Healthcare Supply Chain with demonstrated leadership skills.
