The Change Management Lead plans, develops and implements change management strategies and plans to support and promote IT system implementations that involve significant clinical or business process change to minimize impact to clinical care and business processes while maximizing sustainable adoption, and increase utilization and proficiency to enhance benefit realization, value creation, ROI and achieve favorable results and measurable outcomes.
This role focuses on the people side of change at multiple levels: enterprise, service line, domain, location, role, and individual. This role completes detailed stakeholder identification and end user needs assessments to design, develop, and deliver robust change plans focused on audience-appropriate communication mechanisms and tactics to address end user needs and expected impacts.
Builds and implements change management strategies and plans to improve employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. Drives efforts to gather requirements and recommend solutions for complex change management & communication needs for clinical and business end user audiences.
Drives and develops organization readiness assessments, resource estimates, and statements of work for project teams. Creates and owns the change, communication and education plan. Completes stakeholder assessment and management plan.
Manages and coordinates project-related events to promote awareness where required, working with administrative support. Identifies barriers and challenges for successful change work, determines alternatives and implements the preferred/approved recommendations.
Evaluates effectiveness of efforts and develops templates and process standards that embody best practices. Creates feedback mechanisms for continual process and deliverables improvement. Articulates complex change challenges and change ecosystems. Experience understanding change collisions and associating risk assessment (e.g., heat maps). Makes data-driven decisions; Provides for a mechanism to measure success of project change plan and tactics tied to project initiative.
Builds business relationships with key business and project/program stakeholders, including the IT Project Management Office (IT PMO), Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO), and Organizational Development office. Works in partnership with the IT PMO, ePMO, project lead, and sponsor to ensure change management needs are scoped properly at the beginning of the project lifecycle and ensure key change deliverables, risks and budgets are incorporated into project plans.
Bachelors Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years of professional communications or closely related experience
3+ years building and maintaining SharePoint sites to facilitate project teamwork and communications
3+ years writing content for and producing/building communications vehicles (i.e. SharePoint Sites, Newsletters, Websites, Videos, Executive Briefings, Managerial Talking points, Presentations, Brochures, etc.)
3+ years of experience in Information Technology
Project implementation / change management
5+ years of project implementation and/or change management
5+ years implementing change management for large scale, transformational projects
5+ years business experience
Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively
Advanced education in change management or business-related field (MBA, Masters in Organizational Development, or related field)
Change management certification or designation desired; Prosci Certification a plus; ACMP certification a plus
