Well defined, easy-to-understand, and accessible policies and procedures are essential to Conifer Healthâ��s success and the effectiveness of our operations and compliance program. The Policy Program Manager will be responsible for enhancing Coniferâ��s policy and procedure management processes through collaboration with operations and shared services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizational Policy Governance
Leads all Policy Governance Committee submission reviews and meetings.
Develops an efficient and effective approach to maintaining all written policy and procedure documentation by facilitating the diverse functional groupsâ�� progress, as a result, improving the quality and effectiveness of internal controls, policies and procedures, and business processes.
Facilitates policy and procedure publishing using policy management software.
Educates policy owners on organizational policy and procedure program expectations.
Demonstrates proficiency in achieving consensus between opposing views.
Researches, reviews, and analyzes all Conifer policies and procedures for quality, accuracy, and conflicts with existing policies and procedures under strict project deadlines. Effectively communicates recommendations for revisions for better clarity, flow, and compliance considerations.
Establishes effective relationships organization-wide to provide consultative advice and guidance regarding policy development and governance.
Routinely monitors and reports metrics on the policy governance process to the Ethics and Compliance Leadership Team, Compliance and Audit Committee, and Board of Managers, as appropriate.
Client Policy Management
Manages a process of routinely collecting, reviewing, and sharing relevant client policy to ensure organization-wide compliance with client contractual commitments.
Assists policy owners in developing communication plans associated with new or revised policies.
Coordinates with the Ethics and Compliance Leadership Team to ensure timely and effective communication from the department about policy program updates and actions.
Ensures that the Ethics and Compliance department branding is consistently and appropriately reflected in all communications and policies and procedures.
Works with the Ethics and Compliance Leadership Team to identify and address risks that impact the organizationâ��s Culture of Compliance and, in turn develops and implements work plan initiatives to mitigate identified risks.

Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare, regulatory, financial services industries required.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in policy and procedure development is preferred.
Bachelorâ��s degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare, business, accounting, or related field required.
Masterâ��s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare is preferred.
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred
