You Will Be Responsible For:
Oversees operations of all Radiation Oncology sites within the region/division
Leads the technological, facility, personnel, marketing, budget, billing, regulatory, safety, IT, quality improvement, accreditation, and service aspects as they apply to operations at all locations where radiation oncology services are provided. Lead long- and short-term financial and strategic planning for all Radiation Oncology sites.
Coordinates statewide radiation oncology initiatives and radiation safety. Develops long-term capital plan for all radiation oncology locations in collaboration with cancer leaders across AdventHealth and with the Radiation Oncology Medical Director.
Leads special projects related to radiation oncology program
Manages and directs radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
Leads a comprehensive process of assessing, planning, monitoring and evaluating Radiation Oncology accreditation and regulatory compliance readiness
Ensures compliance with ACR accreditation standards.
Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance with Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and other regulatory requirements specific to area of responsibility.
Adheres to applicable practice standards specific to area of responsibility.
Develops operating budgets and assumes complete fiscal responsibility for the program
Develops capital budget and manages implementation
Collaborates with cancer leaders statewide to develop long-term capital budget.
Responsible for achieving volume and labor targets
Collaborates with AHCI Foundation team on philanthropic strategies.
Develops statewide strategic plan and clinical product, collaborating with the Radiation Oncology Medical Director and oversees implementation.
Collaborates with radiation oncologists on clinical product development.
Responsible for marketing and business development, including but not limited to, analyzing market data, building financial proformas, and implementing strategies in a timely manner.
Develops and implements new program strategies
Clearly articulates goals of the program to internal and external audiences.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Comprehensive knowledge in the operations of radiation oncology
Strong organization skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff
Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
Financial management and budgeting expertise

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Healthcare or Business Administration or related area or 10 years of applicable work experience
Minimum of 5 years comprehensive radiation oncology operations management experience
Minimum of 7 years radiation oncology department experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or related area
Progressive healthcare leadership experience in a hospital system, ambulatory facilities and employed/private physician practice settings
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
State of Florida, certified radiologic technologist as General Radiographer and Radiation Therapy Technologist
AART credentials in both Radiology and Radiation Therapy
The Director of Radiation Oncology Operations has responsibility for building synergistic relationships with other Florida- and Multi-State Division radiation oncology service-line leaders. The director provides regional/divisional leadership for strategy and operations at all sites delivering care across the continuum of radiation oncology. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1) leading a management team responsible for clinical and non-clinical operations, 2) meeting financial budget expectations, 3) ensuring a world-class consumer experience, 4) achieving individual and team goals, 5) ensuring top operational performance, and 6) driving business development. The director serves as the clinical and administrative resource for managers leading teams of department support staff, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and clinical/procedural teams.
Collaborating with the Radiation Oncology Medical Director, Cancer Institute executives, and other organizational leaders, the director will have responsibility for ensuring regulatory compliance, meeting accreditation standards, ensuring safe patient care, leading performance improvement initiatives, leading adoption of new technology, facility management as applicable, and developing statewide strategic plans.
