In this important position, you will develop and negotiate hospital and professional service contracts on behalf of UCLA Health following established rate and language parameters. This will involve modeling, analysis and compilation of volumes and financial data for clinical services and case types. You will manage a portfolio of contracts and will lead the facilitation of contract implementation within key operational areas. You’ll focus on delivering exceptional service to health plans, medical groups and other third-party payors while partnering with internal and external parties to resolve contract-related operational issues in a timely manner. You will also support other departments in carrying out managed care contracts.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional with:
Related Bachelor’s degree preferred
Healthcare provider experience
Strong analytical aptitude and advanced negotiation skills
Knowledge of southern California managed care marketplace
Background with hospital and professional reimbursement mechanisms
Proven teamwork, collaboration and customer service skills
Knowledge of organizational dynamics
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
Commercial, Medicare and MediCaid contracting experience desired
Experience with database applications a plus
