This Psychology Program Manager (Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program) position is located in Mental Health Service at the Jamaica Plain location. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Note: Due to a critical staffing shortage, 38 U.S.C. § 7412 waives the requirement to apply Veterans' preference for this job announcement. VA Boston Healthcare System is hiring a Program Manager, for the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program (ADTP) on the Jamaica Plain campus. The Program Manager has responsibility for daily clinical operations and administrative oversight of the ADTP, which serves veterans with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health problems. Management responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supervising an interdisciplinary team; Developing programming and strategic plans; Developing local policies and procedures; Monitoring outcomes using data-driven quality assurance processes; Ensuring that the program meets VA guidelines and accreditation standards, and Hiring and training new staff. The Program Manager works collaboratively with other programs/services in the VA to coordinate clinical care for veterans served by ADTP. The Program Manager provides direct clinical care in ADTP, including provision of comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, risk assessment, and group and individual therapy. The incumbent should have demonstrated expertise providing evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders and be able to develop and offer a system of measurement-based care. The incumbent will play a role in supporting training programs through supervision of trainees and may be involved in teaching and training, as well as conducting clinical research related to addictions. Academic appointments at either Harvard Medical School or Boston University School of Medicine may be available for applicants who meet affiliated university qualifications.
