The Manager of Product Development will play a critical role in transforming the healthcare experience for our employer customers. This role will focus on understanding the member experience, identifying, scoping and developing products and capabilities to meet the customer’s needs. Experience with market research techniques, familiarity with customer-centric design thinking principles, along with comfort analyzing data to understand customer behavior and business economics will be important in this role given the size and criticality of our product portfolio.
In this role you will:
Work in cross-functional teams to deliver consumer-focused healthcare products within a B2B distribution model for employer customers.
Support strategic partnerships for the product portfolio—leading research, buy vs. build analysis, financial modeling and integration/launch planning.
Enable system growth initiatives through product development working with business units across the enterprise to meet growth targets.
Required experience and capabilities:
Blend strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytical reasoning. Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making paired with creative, outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving approach.
Track record of defining strategy, creating advocacy/alignment and being accountable for outcomes.
Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to develop and nurture stakeholder relationships and navigate and influence the organization.
Experience creating a framework for concept exploration, product prototyping and iteration.
Leading research and applying research insights throughout the product development process utilizing data and design thinking.
Experience weaving together user benefits, business strategy and technology into a comprehensive product strategy.
Ability to collaborate closely with other product teams—digital, operations, clinical and joint venture partners to develop and execute product strategy.
Effective communication—clearly defining and articulating product strategies to internal teams and executive stakeholders.
The ideal Manager of Product Development candidate will have 3-5 years of related experience; ability to manage and staff a department for future growth.
