The Manager of Wellness is responsible for ensuring that cost-effective operations and infrastructure are in place to support all staff, customers and volunteers. The Manager ensures his/her departments are well positioned in a rapidly-evolving and competitive environment by being an agent for ongoing organizational improvement and change for those departments. The position ensures that strategies are clearly understood by all stakeholders and that the departments achieve their strategic goals. The Manager oversee the operations, strategies, financial planning and growth the following cost centers: Wellness Center (AHZ), Employee Wellness Program (AHZ and AHDC), CREATION Life (AHZ and AHDC), Wellness Spa (AHZ).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the VP and Adminstrator, the Wellness Manager administrates over specific population health and community serving departments providing strategic direction and leadership and ensuring areas are meeting established goals.
Strategy, Vision and Leadership
Contribute to the development of hospital’s strategic goals related to wellness strategies of the organization
Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping stakeholders informed of all critical issues.
Represent the organization externally and develop projects to expand our ministry reach within our community
Create marketing strategies for community awareness and growth
Meet monthly with C-suite to update on progress of the Cost Centers and develop new opportunities for growth
Oversee Massage Therapy and other Wellness related services
Oversee, direct and organize the work of selected finance and operations teams
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, a commitment to quality and the organization’s service standards
Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals and administer salary adjustments
Mentor and develop staff using an understanding and cooperative approach
Maintains efficient and effective department operations while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Understanding of business strategies, financial growth, budget planning, networking, marketing and advertising
Understanding of Exercise Science, in regards to knowing how to run a massage therapy establishment, personal training establishment
Ability to excel in public speaking events within the community
Ability to teach an educational class or a group fitness class
