Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Health System, Inc. seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader who is passionate about the enhancement quality and safety to serve as the Vice President for System Improvement & Chief Quality Officer (CQO). They will guide quality and safety across to achieve new standards of excellence across the entirety of the system.
The CAMC Health System and CAMC, an academic medical center which includes four hospital facilities, is the 2015 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, the first and only organization in West Virginia to ever receive the honor. CAMC is the leading provider of care in the region and the largest provider in West Virginia. As a not-for-profit, integrated health system, the CAMC Health System operates positively with net revenues of $1.3 billion, 900 licensed beds and is the third largest employer in the state.
The CQO will be the key leader in orchestrating this vision to build a program that interdigitates across CAMC Health System. The CQO will be a recognized champion and serve as the key strategic leader for planning and developing a quality and safety agenda CAMC Health System's mission and values. Specifically, this executive will advance work processes and structures to create a systems based approach to performance improvement and to achieve and maintain high quality, cost efficient care and a positive patient experience. The CQO will promote a culture of ownership for quality and safety throughout the organization.
The successful candidate will be a clinical or administrative leader with a record of accomplishment in improving quality and patient safety and will have appropriate knowledge and training in process improvement, change management, patient experience, coupled with a familiarity of clinical information systems and analytics. The CQO will be expert at guiding and managing a high-performing leadership team, creating a culture of performance and accountability and establishing high-trust partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve results.
