Assists in managing estimating software and develops and maintains an accessible historical project cost database for staff reference and research.
Prepares Order of Magnitude Estimates, Preliminary Milestone Schedules, and cash flow projections suitable for planning business plans required for the Board or ELT approval.
Helps in the development of system masterplans.
Prepares Predesign Estimates, PAF's, for various projects per the requests of the Planning and Design Departments suitable for submission for funding approval.
Prepares and oversees detailed project estimates at the Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documents Phases of projects assigned to the Facilities Construction Department or other internal entities as directed.
Works with project designers to provide constructability reviews and value-based construction projects for the system.
Refines, updates, and maintains a real time, integrated process, technique for continuous project cost tracking for providing accurate progress cost reports and budget management through the life of the project.
Provide bidding oversite through the Management System.
Including subcontractor qualifications, bidding procedures, and contractor ratings.
Acts as in-house resident expert in usage of the Departmental Cost Estimating Software System, which includes mentoring, and oversight of Project Coordinators, Planners or Designers who utilize the software.
