Established in 1961, St. Josephâ��s Hospital is a premiere medical campus serving Tucson and the Southwest. St. Josephâ��s is home to the Carondelet Neurological Institute and the Carondelet Joint Replacement Center. The 486-bed facility is an accredited Chest Pain Center, has been recognized by the American Heart and Stroke Association with a Get with the Guidelines Award for stroke care, and has nationally-certified Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. Analytics and Planning Manager Position Summary:
The Manager of Analytics and planning will support the company-wide business planning process, company-wise service line initiatives and manage growth analytics and reporting. Provides proactive support to identify, analyze, and make recommendations on improvement opportunities. Conducts audits as necessary to determine appropriateness of initiatives. The incumbent will provide guidance and training as needed. May perform comprehensive studies including comparisons to actual results. Support service lines, programs and departments in achieving financial goals, improving process and generating efficiencies.
Oversee the process, preparation and negotiation of contracts in collaboration with leadership in each department to ensure services are provided that meet the community need in a manner that is compliant with legal authority and company policy.
Collaborate with third party vendors on potential contracts to provide cost effective and quality service to the organization using effective negotiating techniques.
Support the development of, and planning for, new service lines that help the organization better meet the community need and strengthen the organizationâ��s financial position.
Regularly engage with physicians and staff to identify areas of opportunity for improvement in growth, operational efficiency, patient safety, etc. and strategize with leadership on how to best take advantage of those opportunities.
Collect and analyze cost data to determine if the costs of service lines, procedures, business activities, etc. are cost effective for the organization and align with the overall mission and goals of the organization.
Analyze financial information in various areas in collaboration with finance leadership to develop appropriate forecasts and budgets to improve financial performance and assist in meeting financial goals.
Oversee projects throughout the organization to increase the quality of care provided and efficiency of how care is delivered through structured reorganizations that include project planning and management.
Coordinate clinical projects related to nurse staffing and operations using effective data modeling and financial analysis to create more efficient framework and tools which nursing leadership can enhance processes.
Perform modeling of data sources and flows, work with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure deliver of knowledge and information.
Assist the Manager/Director as requested in review and update of department functions and procedure revisions. Give input to Manager/Director concerning procedures and budget planning.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
THE ANALYTICS AND PLANNING MANAGER CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Required: Bachelorâ��s degree from an accredited school in business, healthcare, or other related field
Preferred: Masterâ��s degree preferred
Required: Three (3) years of demonstrated work experience in finance or healthcare, preferably in a planning/analytics role.
