WittKieffer has been retained to conduct the search for Riverview Health's Chief Information Officer (CIO). The CIO will be responsible for leading all aspects of Riverview's information technology including strategy, operations, analytics, security and external vendor partnerships for this strong, independent health system.
Reporting to the CEO and an integral part of the leadership team, the CIO will have the ability to influence the system’s strategic direction and IT Roadmap as well as lead change and innovation in this growing health system. The CIO will be a champion for IT within the system and will identify innovative ways to serve the needs of the clinical and patient communities in alignment with mission, vision and goals of Riverview.
The CIO will lead efforts to assess the current environment. This includes the current ERP and solutions to identify a new system in the coming years as well as an assessment of the current EMR, Epic. Today, Riverview utilizes Epic through a Community Connect partnership with Mercy Health. The CIO will lead a full evaluation of the current IT structure, resources, processes and projects with the goal of creating a highly responsive, integrated and transparent IT organization, providing excellence in service delivery. A strong focus on IT leadership and staff development will also be key.
The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare IT leadership experience and have experience with EHR and ERP system selection and implementation. The CIO will be active in the healthcare IT community and be able to leverage this network to forward the Riverview's objectives. Also, the CIO will be a visionary leader and a strategic partner in ensuring integration of IT with the business to support the strategy and direction of Riverview and will be a positive team builder and a strong communicator who is visible and collaborative. He/she will develop strong relationships, effectively lead and manage at all levels and be an active and inclusive member of the community. A Bachelor's degree is requried; a Master's degree is preferred.
