Director of Research Operations and Administration

Responsible for overall training, support, and education of all operational management personnel within Research. Works with Research leadership to implement high level strategic initiatives. Acts as a liaison for the Research Institute to the system, as well as external parties.
Trains, educates, and indirectly manages applicable operational personnel across all department, divisions, and institutes of Research.
Responsible for administrative leadership as well as integration of short and long-term operational planning and implementation.
Develops and implements department procedures in conjunction with the department Directors.
Establishes and monitors progress on long-range administrative objectives and implements actions as necessary to achieve those objectives.
Establishes annual budgets, monitors financial performance and develops corrective actions as necessary.
Oversees efficient and effective development, implementation, and management of multiple office locations.
Works directly with facilities and architects to plan construction and renovations in a timely effective manner.
Provides direction to, holds accountable, develops and evaluates operational support staff in their performance of all goals and objectives.
Oversees administrative aspects of the recruitment process for investigators and all support staff.
Oversees administrative aspects of faculty affairs
Work with HR for hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, and other personnel matters.
Manages external industry and academic partnerships, as applicable to the departments.
Acts as a liaison and navigator to assist clinicians and other personnel to understand the research infrastructure and gain access to appropriate support
