The Sr. Program Manager for Faculty Appointments works in partnership with the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and is responsible for coordination of all faculty actions submitted for review and approval. Primary key functions are listed below:
Work closely with the Department Administrators responsible for preparing documents for all faculty appointments and promotions. Once received in the office, conduct a thorough review, and prepare for presentation to the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. These actions include, but are not limited to, the following: New Appointments, Promotions, Track Changes, Reappointments, Departures, and salary change requests.
Complete all actions with proper documentation by drafting letters and routing for signature, as required.
Data entry for all faculty actions in Interfolio, SharePoint and/or the Faculty Information System (FIS).
Actively participate in the development of training content for the Department Administrators related to all faculty actions.
Work closely with the Sr. Program Manager, Faculty Committees and Resource Coordinator to ensure that actions needing review are complete. Once committee reviews are complete, process all actions needing submission to the Provost and Chancellor of the University.
Track all actions and prepare timeline reports as needed.
Facilitate the review of all Retired and Emeritus nominations to completion.
Serve as a resource by providing consultation on policies and procedures for all faculty actions with Departmental Administrators for onboarding and continuing education.
Complete routine QA audit of faculty files.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience in Higher Education, preferably in Faculty Affairs.
