The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seeks an inspiring leader, trusted campus partner, and proven champion and advocate for creative diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to serve as its Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Education Programs (ADDEI). Reporting directly to the Dean, serving as a member of Geisel’s senior leadership team, and overseeing the Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement (DICE), the ADDEI will be a highly collaborative leader with the ability to empower others to collectively deepen Geisel’s ongoing efforts to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive community for all faculty, staff, and students that generates physicians and practitioners dedicated to addressing health disparities.
Founded in 1769, Dartmouth is a member of the Ivy League and consistently ranks among the world’s greatest academic institutions. Located in Hanover, New Hampshire, and founded in 1797, the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth is the fourth-oldest medical school in the country. Today, Geisel is a major clinical and research institution where students learn and work alongside faculty to learn clinical care, conduct basic research, clinical trials, health policy analysis, and more.
There is broad recognition at Geisel that the educational and cultural change needed requires hard work, resources, awareness, and support. The ADDEI leads an established office, DICE, and the Geisel Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Geisel community is eager to welcome an expert to fortify these structures and progress the School forward along its innovative journey. This is a pivotal moment for a self-starter and strategic advisor to serve as a connector for medical and public health programs supporting all students, faculty, and staff.
