We are looking for an Associate Director, Search Strategy who is passionate about leading strategies across internal and external search that make an impact at one of the nations leading cancer centers. The incumbent will be a key member of the Content Strategy team, overseeing the development, prioritization, and execution of our search engine optimization roadmap in support of key business goals.
Lead key projects to increase organic conversion both in external search and through our websites search
Use the data from analytics and measurement to inform the search strategy and to solve search-related business, brand, marketing, and technology problems.
Ensure that quality results are delivered to users through website search engine
Partner with our in-house editorial team to test and ensure all content is findable using a wide variety of search terms
Make content-based recommendations to improve the findability of content
Partner with technology team to drive improvements in MSKCC.orgs search product and to recommend technical improvements that improve SEO
Partner with the information architecture team to improve taxonomy
Partner with advertising team to align organic and paid search strategies
Present search analysis, opportunities and metrics to leaders throughout the organization
Develop, maintain, and oversee the prioritization and execution of the search strategy roadmap
7+ years of experience in search strategy, including SEO, and managing an enterprise search technology, preferably Coveo
Experience collaborating with and advising editorial and technology teams
Expert knowledge of Google Analytics and proven experience with search analytics tools (e.g. Brightedge, SEMRush, Google Search Console)
Experience optimizing for localized search (e.g. Yext)
Experience working with and managing relationships with outside agencies
Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative spirit, solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders
The ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and deliver work on deadline.
