The Nurse Manager holds the responsibility for implementation of the Vision, Mission and Values of the Syracuse VAMC within his/her defined areas of responsibility. He/she is engaged in administrative nursing practice characterized by both increased complexity of clinical decision making and enhanced skill in nursing management. This position is eligible for a recruitment incentive of base offer plus 15% incentive for 2 years. He/she provides leadership in day-to-day operations and input into the strategic planning process for the attainment of organizational goals. The Nurse Manager keeps staff informed of the Medical Center Administrative goals through facilitating both vertical and horizontal communication in a timely manner. The incumbent provides timely information regarding emergenc
