The Director of Marketing and Communications oversees marketing strategy for Ballad Health Medical Associates (BHMA), which includes developing and executing measurable marketing and communication strategies that align with BHMA business objectives. In addition, the director is responsible for a broad range of marketing and communication activities that support BHMA primary and specialty care practices and service lines. The director will supervise the Manager, BHMA Marketing and Communications. This role requires strong marketing strategy and tactical planning and execution skills, and excellent communication skills.

The incumbent will bring:

• Experience building collaborative relationships including the ability to build confidence among stakeholders and team members by effectively supporting them as a trusted consultant, advisor and marketing subject matter expert
• Ability to ensure marketing and communication plans are grounded in strategy, support business objectives, include business and marketing metrics, and are developed and implemented on time and on budget
• Strong experience managing the development process for creative and messaging, and ensuring they support business objectives
• Excellent and effective communication skills, including the ability to listen and understand business problems that require a marketing solution
• Experience using data to inform strategic and tactical marketing decisions and recommendations  
• Experience establishing appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns, and analyzing and reporting campaign performance
• Experience integrating digital and traditional media tactics within media strategy and identifying the appropriate channels to reach target audiences
• Strong organizational skills
• Enthusiasm for the health and wellness of the Appalachian Highlands

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required.  Master's degree preferred.  Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare of related field including two years in a supervisory role.
