As advanced-practice nurses with specialized critical care training and master's or doctoral degrees in nurse anesthesia, our 130 + Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) reinforce and support the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine in numerous ways. As vital members of anesthesia and peri-operative teams they work alongside attending anesthesiologists to provide the highest-quality care to our patients and have been valued as well as committed members of the institution for more than half a century.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director to join our incredible team! The Assistant Director of Nurse Anesthesia Services will lead and mentor CRNA staff and ensure they are meeting competencies to promote safe and proper operation and quality control of equipment, techniques, and procedures

You Will:

• Assist with the development of organizational policies for CRNA personnel
• Analyze and evaluate activities to assure established quality patient care
• Maintain clinical responsibilities providing comprehensive care to surgical patients; assess patients condition preoperatively, review medical record, evaluate and consider patient history, physical exam, consultation notes, and laboratory results.
• Implement accurate and safe anesthetic plan based on consultation with an attending anesthesiologist

You Are:

• Knowledgeable about business and the marketplace and able to apply this knowledge to advance the organization's goals
• A provider of work directives, delegating responsibilities as necessary and removing obstacles in order to get work done
• Able to build an effective team with diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals

You Have:

• NYS RN license
• Masters Degree (Doctoral Degree highly preferred)
• CRNA Certification
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of CRNA experience, preferably in an acute care environment.

Hours: Days, Monday Friday
