As a Behavioral Health Case Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of diagnostic categories and age groups as we treat adolescents age 13-17 and adults over 18 in our units. Our case managers are scheduled to work 5 consecutive days. Our campus houses 7 inpatient units around a central courtyard, with an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor half-court gymnasium for our patients.?? This is a full- time role with a Sunday through Thursday schedule, daytime business hours. The psychiatrists, nurses, and Behavioral Health case managers work closely as a team to strategize the treatment approach. There is ample opportunity to practice your group therapy skills and/or addiction counseling skills with our adults. Ours is a fast-paced environment that is never dull or routine.?? This position will have a varied assignment depending on the staffing need that day.?? This position is best suited for the clinician who enjoys a variety of populations and who enjoys working in different areas of the hospital with multiple team members.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides planning, coordination and clinical oversight to the behavioral health staff and for the delivery of quality patient program services. Provides leadership and clinical case consultation to the multidisciplinary team. Provides clinical assessment, psychotherapy services, and case management for defined patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides leadership, coordination and clinical oversight to behavioral health staff members to enhance and refine clinical practices and program services. Facilitates performance improvement and ensures quality patient care in the delivery of behavioral health services. Serves as a resource in providing leadership and clinical expertise to the multidisciplinary team.
2. Assists management in the resolution of program or treatment issues, ensures adherence to policies and resolves problems or conflicts in a timely manner. Participates in quality improvement measures and monitors compliance and outcomes.
3. Provides assessment and direct psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups. Coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge, interacting with the physician and other members of the clinical treatment team to provide quality patient care.
4. Assists in achieving targeted financial performance. Maintains effective relationships and facilitates public awareness to assure program growth and ongoing patient referrals. May include community networking by participating in local community boards or committees.
5. May supervise behavioral health staff directly including interviewing, selecting, orienting, counseling, and evaluating behavioral health staff members.
6. Position is facility based and assists in the achievement of financial measures and program growth. Interacts with all levels of nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External customers include patients, families, physicians, payers, community agencies, provider networks and regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a master's degree in social work, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology or related behavioral health field.
Requires current licensure in state of practice.
Requires a proficiency level typically achieved with 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Requires excellent leadership skills and an ability to interact well across departments, facilities, and organizations. Excellent organizational, human relations, and communication skills are required to maintain a good rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
