Job Summary
Responsible for the cultivation and solicitation of national, state, regional, and local foundations and corporate entities. Plans, coordinates, and implements appropriate foundation and corporate fundraising activities for all Geisinger entities.Administratively reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy.
Job Duties
Plans, implements, and supervises identification, cultivation, solicitation, and acknowledgement of prospective foundations and corporate entities.
Plans, implements, and coordinates a gift program with foundations and corporations. Works with staff and other Geisinger departments and programs to identify gift prospects. Cultivates prospective donors through a variety of informational methods, including face-to-face visits, phone, and letter correspondence, interactions at stewardship events, etc. Coordinates and supervises the presentation of foundation and corporate gift proposals. Recommends appropriate recognition and stewardship.
The Senior Director is responsible for the engagement, cultivation and solicitation of potential donors to support the mission of Geisinger.
Develop and execute fundraising strategies in alignment with the priorities of Geisinger to maximize philanthropic results. Identify, engage, cultivate and solicit prospective donors to Geisinger. Working with the Sr. Director of Stewardship and Donor Engagement, appropriately steward assigned donors.
Meet or exceed annual visitation, solicitation and attainment goals as defined in collaboration with VP of Philanthropy. Engage Administrative Leadership, Physician Staff and Volunteer Leaders (Board) in support of the mission and vision of Geisinger. Actively participate in development activities.
Develops and completes ongoing benchmarks for the Geisinger Health Foundation corporate gifts and foundation program.
Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive proactive development plan focused on expanding and enhancing corporate and foundation relationships by directing and coordinating activities related to obtaining corporate and foundation monetary support.
Work closely with Foundation staff, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine staff, Geisinger physicians, and leadership to create opportunities to build awareness among corporate and foundation constituencies in order to build and significantly expand positive fund-raising relationships.
Develop highly competitive proposals for corporate and foundation prospects and leverage diverse corporate and foundation goals and preferences in conjunction with Geisinger Foundation fundraising priorities.
Performs other duties as assigned, including serving on committees as needed.
