Job Description:
Provides administrative leadership and oversight of several hospital family support service programs including Child Life, Expressive Therapies, School Services, Family Advisory Committee, Chaplain Services, Bereavement Services, Patient Technology, Destination Services, and Language Services. This role is responsible for leading and developing leaders, partnering with hospital leadership, local community organizations, nursing, philanthropy, and other facility management and departments to ensure the success of patient and family support programs.

Job Essentials
Provides regular and ongoing oversight to ensure that services provided by Child Life, Expressive Therapies, School Services, Family Advisory Committee, Chaplain Services, Bereavement Services, Patient Technology, Destination Services, and Language Services are serving the needs of our patients and families. Works closely with administrators, medical leadership, and professional staff to ensure that the Family Support Services that are provided are of high quality. Develops strategies to obtain input from patients and families that result in improvements in hospital and departmental operations, care processes, and enhanced care partnerships. Develops strategies to integrate Family Support Services into the larger vision of a shared accountability organization in a manner that enhances value. Facilitates customer satisfaction by establishing measurements, monitoring outcomes, and creating action plans for continual quality improvement. Advocates for the advancement of extraordinary care and patient- and family-centered care throughout the hospital and Intermountain Healthcare. Responsible for strategic planning and operational assignments within Family Support Services. Works with philanthropy including proposal writing and meetings with donors for financial support of family services. Develops, coaches, mentors, and evaluates direct reports. Maintains positive relationships with and promotes collaboration between departments and throughout Intermountain Healthcare.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned areas.
Ensures that Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements are met for assigned areas.
Accountable for the financial performance of assigned areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
Three years of experience at the manager level with direct accountability for a large functional area.

Preferred Qualifications
Hospital Director level experience.
Experience presenting to senior-level executives.
