Director of Acute Rehabilitation Unit - Desert Regional Medical Center- Fulltime Days

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation,joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

Summary

The Director has a 24-hour, 7 day a week responsibility to provide clinical and administrative leadership and development and management for the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility). Emphasis placed on delivery of quality, cost effective patient care. In collaboration with the medical director, and hospital leadership, develops implements, manages and maintains program philosophy and goals and objectives, which are consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of DRMC.

• Current CA RN license preferred or Current CA OT, PT or Speech license
• Masterâ��s Degree in related field preferred
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Three (3) years management experience in acute rehab (inpatient and or outpatient)
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated competence as a leader.
