Summary
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MED/SURG
The Assistant Director of Emergency will perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the acute care setting. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice, and promoting cooperation among the health care team. Assist the director in meeting the department goals. In conjunction with the Director, the Assistant Director shall meet personal accountabilities as defined in the Tenet Target 100 standards of Service, People, Quality, Growth and Cost. Assumes the role of Director when Director is absent from facility when directed to do so. The Asst. Director will have managerial responsibilities related to staff selection, terminations, performance evaluations, staffing, Kronos, and quality improvement and progressive discipline. This position will be responsible to run the day to day operations of the department.
Qualifications:Education
Required: BSN required
Experience
Required: 2 Years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full time charge nurse/related position
Certifications
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
