Geisinger ConvenientCare Urgent Care clinic in Burnham, PA is an seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team!

Job Duties

ConvenientCare clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections, and more. They also provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services. Services at some clinics may also include x-ray, EKG, IV hydration, and phlebotomy.

EXPERIENCE:

Advanced practitioners must have at least six months of Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Critical Care advanced practice professional experience and the ability to treat patients age one and older.

We take pride in the professional and developmental support we provide:

• Recruitment incentive - $10,000, paid in lump sum upon start.  2-year work obligation with department

• Continuing Medical Education – 10 working days, based on 8 hours, and $2,500 annually

• Benefits begin the first day of employment

• Teaching opportunities – are available via advanced practice preceptorship

Position Details

The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.  

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
