Position Summary
The Associate Program Director (???APD???) is a key member of the Family Medicine Leadership team and is tasked with assisting the Program Director in leading and overseeing the Adventist Health Tulare Family Medicine Residency Program (???Tulare Family Medicine Residency???), a community-based training program serving the unique health care needs of the Central Valley. Tasked with working to ensure the success of the program???s aims and objectives, the Associate Program Director dedicates an average of twenty-four hours per week to residency training, ensuring that all requirements are met. Direct involvement in patient care is crucial, as well as continuous supervision of the residents, mentoring, and direct teaching of the residents.
Qualifications
1) Knowledge and Ability
a) Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license from the State of California.
b) Shall have completed an accredited residency program in Family Medicine.
c) Current, valid American Board of Family Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians board certification.
Experience
One to three of Family Medicine educational and/or administrative experience is preferred.

Candidate must be BC/BE, be California licensed or eligible and meet the hospital???s medical staff credentialing standards.
