Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading the department's efforts in forging alliances and strategic relationships across the university, health system, and with community partners to develop integrated and collaborative approaches leveraging the science of community-engaged research and practice.
The Division of Community Health serves as the Department's academic hub for community engaged research and practice to accelerate healthcare transformation and leading regional and national efforts to promote health equity. The Department and the leaders of Penn Medicine are committed to identifying and partnering with our community to reduce health disparities, particularly in the West Philadelphia community. The Director of the Division of Community Health will be asked to help lead these interdisciplinary efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders in the university, health system, and community. This individual will be responsible for forging and nurturing effective, trusting partnerships with community leaders and organizations in co-creating the institution's community health programs.
